Johnson Lane is a really a local term. Located approximately half way between Minden and Carson City on the East side of Highway 395 there is a large residential area. The area is basically defined by the two main access roads of Johnson Lane in the South and Stephanie Lane to the North. In the early years of development in the Carson Valley, Johnson Lane was mainly one acre properties and almost all lots allowed horses. There still are today many one acre properties with horse facilities but as the population has increased and the desire for modern homes without horses has become popular new subdivisions have been built. A few of these are: Saratoga Springs, North Fork Trail, Bramwell Estates, Skyline Ranch and Wildhorse. The subdivisions are very popular with families and retirees and some have their own biking and walking trails. Great for getting out and enjoying our great views here.
Pinion Hills Elementary is located within the Johnson Lane area and having it close is really convenient for families. Shopping at places like Trader Joe’s, Costco, Home Depot, Target, as well as others is not far away either. And at the east end of Johnson Lane there is BLM land that offers endless opportunities for the ATV and horse and biking enthusiasts.
