Topaz Lake

Topaz Lake is located in the Southern boundary of Douglas County, Nevada. The Lake is divided by the two states of California and Nevada and is a popular vacation area for second homes as well as some permanent residents. Trophy trout is the big attraction to Topaz Lake. Fishing season opens on January 1st each year and hundreds of fishermen are out that day to try to catch “the big one”. Pleasure boating is also a favorite pastime and there is a public campground on the North end of the Lake. The Topaz Lake Casino attracts visitors and locals alike. It is on the main route of Highway 395 and a great place to stop for a quick bite. Only one side of the Lake is developed and there are an abundant type of housing opportunities for those looking for something a little different from the usual.
